my space bar is broken and i'm really sorry about it

jane addams treated the world right.
she saw a problem and she did as much as she could to correct it. she opened settlement houses. there immigrants  could come  to be educated and fed and helped  to  melt into  society. sure, it was a  great idea, but she only managed to help those within  a few miles of the settlement houses which left a lot of unfortunate souls out on the streets. in history class we wrote her off and  only briefly discussed what she did because  she proved unable to affect a majority of the  immigrants .

but her "failure" was spectacular, wasn't it?

she was not able to help millions, but she made a difference to hundreds, maybe even thousands. and, where ever they are now-whether they are writhing in hell or singing with a chorus of angels in heaven or whatever it is that happens to your soul once you leave this life-i bet they remember that lady that taught them english or gave them comfort. the lady that helped them find a job so they could support the  seven children  they brought over from Ireland.

she made a difference to them and i can't imagine they wouldn't be grateful .

that's why  i chose her. i think the  most important thing in the world is   how we treat others & i'm obsessed with the idea of making a  difference; i've  always thought that to make a difference there needs to be a grand gesture that touches the hearts of everyone in the world-the kind of thing that made everyone pause and think about how i am t he  most important  person  in their life.

but that's a real selfish way to view helping people isn't it?

i'm starting to  realize that i don't matter  to everyone , i don' t even matter to  most of the 7 billion   people on  the planet or even the 2500 students at  this  school. but               it doesn't matter if they don't know me,                                                                                      i'm learning to  be  okay with that .
you can't answer everyones whispered prayers to their Father in Heaven    when  life has brought them to their knees.
but                 there are people that everyone has been called to touch.   to  bring them back  from their metaphorical cliff.

isn' t it better to help  someone who is in great need of your assistance,  who will love you deeply for forever than to          be loved widely?

i think that's something jane addams  knew     even  though nobody else quite agreed.

      anyways,

i've been raised by  two  incredible people;  if they  can't get into heaven then no one stands a  chance.
i feel like i've mentioned   God and heaven  a lot in  this post-i guess those  topics have just been on my mind a lot lately.
i believe in  good hearts .
guacamole  is  one of my passions;  and so is driving  at night with loud music and the windows all the way down .
i think  that love    at first  sight is real .
i read harry potter the way  some people  read the bible.
i like to rollerblade even though i m rubbish at it; the same goes for singing .
if you don't walk away from a book without  the absolute desire to do something spontaneous or if you weren't inspired to do  good,  i think that book wasn't worth  reading. (unpopular opinion, i know).
i  like to  dye  my hair
and                    there is nothing more beautiful in  t his world than uncontrolled laughter.

(again i'm really sorry about the space bar, i know it s really annoying)
